Reimagining Peacebuilding: Comparative Study of China’s Community of Shared Future for Mankind and Contemporary Approaches
Brief description:
My research focuses on the peace concept of the ‘Community of Shared Future for Mankind (CSFM)’, proposed in recent years by the Chinese government. The CSFM concept, introduced under the leadership of Xi Jinping, is an emerging peace-building framework from East Asia. My primary research aims to explore the concept, development, and potential future applications of this new peace initiative. This part of the research first requires examining the background and vision represented by the CSFM concept as it is interpreted within the context of Chinese characteristics. Following this, it necessitates an analysis of how the CSFM is portrayed in official Chinese government propaganda and its application in international practice. Additionally, I intend to conduct a comparative study between the CSFM and existing peace-building theories and concepts, with the hope of contributing modestly to the field of peace-building theory.
